Jason Krieser: Vice President, General Manager
As General Manager, Jason is responsible for the Allen Medical System business within Hill-Rom. In the last four
years, he has grown Allen to more than double in size and revenue. Jason joined Allen in 2003 as Director of
Marketing, and he expanded Allen’s product focus into new segments of hip and spine. Allen soon became the #2
player in spine, and #1 in patient positioning accessories for hip arthroscopy. His responsibilities quickly expanded to
include managing International Sales, and New Product Development. In 2006, Jason was promoted to his present
role of General Manager for Allen Medical, and Vice President, Hill-Rom.
Prior to joining Allen, Krieser served as a Marketing Manager at Smith & Nephew Endoscopy where he was
responsible for over $150M revenue. He managed renowned product brands including Dyonics™ Arthroscopic
Shaver Blades, and Acufex™ Hand Instruments. Jason began his career at Johnson and Johnson Medical, where he
excelled as New Product Development Engineer, Sales Representative, and eventually Product Director. As product
director for the advanced wound care division, he launched three families of products including Nu-Gel™, and Dyna-
Flex™ multi-layer compression system.
Jason graduated with his BS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and he
received his MBA at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. He served as a chemical officer in the 1-67
armored battalion in the U.S. Army. He currently resides in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
Mark Cole: Director, North America Sales
As Director of Sales, Mark is responsible for all channel activity within North America. Mark joined Allen in 2007 after
15 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, sports medicine and medical device industry. Since joining Allen,
Mark has executed a strategy that has enabled Allen to grow successfully in the Spine market and has successfully
taken the channel into a new orthopedic segment, with the launch of the new Allen shoulder line in 2009.
Before joining Allen, Mark led the successful Global Medical and Sales Education Division for Smith & Nephew
Endoscopy. A new addition to the business, the division was responsible for the training of over 2000 sports medicine
and orthopedic surgeons and over 700 sales personnel worldwide. Prior to this, Mark held several senior sales
management and strategic product management positions within the company.
Mark graduated with his BS from Surrey University School of Business in the UK and currently resides in Northern
Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
Annie Dixon-Dunn: Director, International
Annie Dixon-Dunn is Director of International business for Allen Medical Systems, responsible for all aspects of
product distribution outside of North America. These responsibilities include managing the international Allen Amatech
business, focused on building relationships with OEM business partners, in addition to the Allen Medical business,
managing an international sales force of Allen distributors in over 50 countries. Annie joined the Allen team in March
2004, following an extensive career in medical device product development, marketing and sales.
Prior to Allen, Annie Dixon-Dunn served as Director of Marketing and New Product Development for Vasocor, a venture
capital funded start-up company. Prior to this, Annie held numerous management positions within Hill-Rom, in both
Europe and the US. Annie has won numerous management and sales growth
awards throughout her career for consistently exceeding revenue goals and growth targets.
Annie is a Registered Nurse and received her BA from Lancaster University in the UK. She currently resides near
Warwick, UK with her husband.
Erin Herbst: Director, Marketing
Erin joined Allen in 2007, and is responsible for all marketing initiatives, including branding, advertising, public
relations, tradeshow events, and marketing communications. She brings over 15 years of experience in marketing,
branding, and design. Prior to joining Allen, Herbst excelled at SeaChange International as Creative Director for
their Philadelphia consulting division, and then as Corporate Brand Manager at their headquarters in MA. Then as
Director of Marketing for RNK Communications, she was charged with repositioning the company for acquisition.
She successfully led a company-wide rebranding initiative that resulted in RNK’s acquisition by Wave-to-Wave
Communications in 2007.
She began her career working with Merck & Co. in the visual communications department, before moving on to the
consulting environments of Bluestone Consulting and Virtual Image Inc. She has worked with a range of corporate
clients in the pharmaceutical, insurance, building, cable, broadcast, and high-tech industries.
Erin has spoken at industry conferences as an expert on branding, and earned her BS in Graphic Design from Drexel University. She has a MPS in Design Management from Pratt Institute, and received a MS in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Northeastern University. She currently resides in Massachusetts with her husband.
Bill McGowan: Director, Operations
As Director of Operations, Bill is responsible for the operational and logistical functions of Allen’s US, private label, and international businesses. This includes overseeing the final assembly and test operations of product manufacturing, in addition to the purchasing, warehousing, and manufacturing engineering departments, and on-site IT support. Bill joined the company in 1997, and has since streamlined Allen’s business processes, implementing performance measurement and management systems that have significantly improve Allen’s operational excellence. Bill’s operations teams work closely with marketing, sales, and new product development to increase efficiency.
Prior to joining Allen Medical, Bill held numerous operations management positions with companies focused on technology and industrial supply. He served as Director of Operations for Johnson and Johnston Associates, a firm specializing in patented product for the circuit board industry. Prior to JJA, Bill quickly excelled as Manufacturing Manager for Jupiter Technology, a hi-tech startup firm producing hardware systems for the finance industry.
Bill graduated from Nathanial Hawthorne College with dual degrees, earning his BA in Business Administration, and his BS in Behavioral Science. He served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973, and was based at Hahn Air Base in Germany, focusing on aircraft electrical repair. Bill currently resides in Southern New Hampshire with his wife of 37 years.
Fred Newey: Director, North America OEM Business
As Director of OEM Business for North America, Fred is responsible for managing the Allen Amatech business,
building relationships with business partners, and developing clinical solutions to meet their business needs. Fred
joined Allen Medical in January 2008, bringing over 15 years experience in medical device marketing and product
management of both capital and disposable product lines.
Prior to joining Allen, Newey was the Sr. Product Manager for Scandius BioMedical, a venture backed medical device
start-up. At Scandius, Fred was responsible for all product and clinical support materials. He was a key contributor
to the launch of both the company and its knee platform products, ultimately resulting in Covidien’s acquisition of the
company. Prior to Scandius, Fred held marketing and product management positions at Smith & Nephew, C.R. Bard,
and Olympus Optical. At Bard, Fred was part of a team that created an innovative new market with its procedure/
product combination solution.
Newey has been published on biomedical and clinical topics including articles in the Journal of Clinical Engineering,
and in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy publications. Fred earned his BS in Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic
Institute. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and two daughters.
Tom
Tom Skripps: Director, New Product Development
As Director of New Product Development, Tom is responsible for global development of all new products. His focus is on
growth by innovation through customer observation. With a track record of generating over 20% of global revenue from
new products annually for the last four years, this recipe has proven successful. Tom’s team is responsible for full-cycle
product development from identifying needs, through engineering, commercialization, and sales support.
Tom rejoined Allen Medical in 2005, after a rewarding career in start-ups and manufacturing. Tom brings an extensive
background in product development, finance, venture capital, operations, manufacturing, marketing, and B2B sales.
Prior to Allen, Skripps held various Principle and CEO positions with start-up businesses focused on surgical tables
and accessories, imaging systems, hazardous waste recycling, and turnkey manufacturing. The results of his efforts
have been publicized throughout many industries. Tom’s career started as an engineer with Amatech/O.R. Direct, a
start-up which later became Allen Medical, where he is known for developing many of the company’s core products.
He later worked in the Aerospace and Semiconductor Capital equipment industries prior to founding his first start-up
business, Pure-Logic Industries.
Tom graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He lives in Massachusetts with his
wife and two sons.
